Comics & Zines

Comics and zines have been a constant in my creative life since my teenage years. They allow me to combine storytelling, illustration, pacing, and layout into one cohesive form.

I’m especially drawn to the intimacy of the format, the way a small printed piece can carry a full narrative voice. Creating and sharing these works, and reading other artists’ stories in return, continues to shape how I think about visual storytelling and audience connection.

Below is a selection of recent comics and self-published zine projects.

Moon Pool (Volume 1)

The lost reality show Life Underwater never made it to air. The footage leaked, the cast vanished, and five years later, three survivors returned. Now Junia and the others have to face the world’s obsession… and its very weird fan theories.

Moon Pool grew from my interest in what happens after tragedy or a long, difficult period in our lives. The tone leans lighter, using moments of absurdity to explore these themes. But at its core, it’s about how we learn to live again when life resumes, even though we’ve been changed. It reflects on the quiet dissonance of PTSD, the trial and error of rebuilding, and the question of where to turn when the world keeps moving forward and you’re still finding your footing.

My Plastic Straw

Batty and Syl, two people stuck in the daily grind, meet on one of those rough days, under not-so-great circumstances. Their meeting creates an unexpected bond as they spend time together and discover how much they have in common, especially their love for art. In a world that’s all about money and success, their connection feels like a small spark of hope, but there's always the danger of messing it all up.

Sensitive Bookish Type

In this zine, you’ll find recreated images made with watercolor and color pencil, based on various media, paired with book quotes that complement them. These pairings reflect each other in both quiet and not-so-quiet ways.

For the sensitive, bookish types.
